Every year I bring agroup to experience and photograph the Day of the Dead celebrations in Oaxaca. Our goal is to try and tell the story of the coming together and clash of the ancient Zapotec culture with the arrival of the Spaniards, and the tradition of the Day of the Dead, which has managed to not only survive, but flourish after all these years. We start the trip with some general scene setting establishing shots such as this of the beautiful Cathedral and the Main Square.
